McKinley Memorial Library
The Niles Public Library was founded in 1908 to provide public library service to the residents of Niles, Ohio. The library moved to the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial in Niles in 1917, through the generosity of a $50,000 gift from Henry Clay Frick. Soon thereafter, the library changed its name to the McKinley Memorial Library in recognition of the fact that President William McKinley, the twenty-fifth President of the United States, was born in Niles. Today the library serves as the public library for the City of Niles, along with having a museum dedicated to the life of President William McKinley. McKinley Memorial Library is one of two public libraries in the United States to have a direct association with a President of the United States.
McKinley Memorial Library has been a member of CLEVNET since 2011.
