The CLEVNET App is back!

We’re thrilled to announce that the CLEVNET app is once again available on the Apple App Store and Google Play! After an unexpected removal of service, we’ve worked diligently with our vendors to address the issue and bring back the app for all users.

You can now download or update the CLEVNET app on your mobile phone to access a wide range of library services, including browsing the catalog, reserving books, and more.

  • If your app is still installed on your phone, you can log out and then log back in to use it to search for items and review your account.
  • If you removed the app, search CLEVNET in the app store and you can download it again.

To log in, you will need your barcode number and PIN.  Please contact your local library if you forgot your PIN.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience and understanding. We’re committed to providing the best possible experience and do not take this lack of service lightly. We look forward to serving you better and are continuing to evaluate other solutions available.

Thank you for being a CLEVNET patron.

Automatic Renewals starting April 2nd!

CLEVNET will implement automatic renewals of physical materials starting with items due on April 2nd. We hope this new service will be more convenient and potentially reduce overdue fines.

How will automatic renewals work?

The system will attempt to automatically renew materials one day before an item is due.

Materials CANNOT be renewed if:

  • Someone else has placed a hold on the item.
  • The item has reached its renewal limit (renewal limits vary by library system).
  • Your account is blocked due to excess fines or fees.

If an item CANNOT be renewed, you will receive a courtesy due soon notice (via PHONE, EMAIL, or SMS Text) the evening before your materials are due.

Please note: This service does not apply to digital materials (i.e. Overdrive), only physical materials.

To review and update your notification options, please visit https://www.clevnet.org/help/how-do-i-edit-my-hold-notifications/ for instructions.

Changes coming to NetNotice emails

What are we changing?

We will be changing the sending domain from cpl.org to clevnet.org.  So instead of netnotice@cpl.org you will receive email from netnotice@clevnet.org.

When will we make this change?

April 2, 2018.

How will this affect you?

This shouldn’t affect you at all.  It is possible that this change might result in our email to you being flagged as spam.  If, after April 2, you are not seeing emails from netnotice@clevnet.org please check your spam filters and adjust them accordingly.

New CLEVNET Catalog Coming

On June 14th the CLEVNET catalog is changing.  The software powering the search is changing from Bibliocommons to Enterprise. There are a few reasons for this change. The most important of which is that the new catalog  will have a much deeper integration with our eMedia offerings such as OverDrive and Hoopla.  These integrations will allow you to download your materials directly from the catalog as well as manage your electronic checkouts.

As June 14th approaches we will be posting more information about the changes and enhancements for our new catalog.

Problems with Passwords

If you are trying to log in and you find that you can’t, try entering the letters in your password as uppercase.  Once you have logged in you can change your password back to the original case.  To do that go to “My Account” and then click on the “Personal Information” tab.  Then look for the “Change PIN/Password” link.  Select that and then fill out the PIN information.

If that fails you can reset your password by using this page https://www.clevnet.org/help/forgot-my-password/

Password Now Required for OverDrive emedia

To use any of the resources at clevnet.overdrvive.com you to will need to use a password in addition to your library barcode.  If you’ve forgotten your password you can reset it by using our  “Forgot Your Password” page. After you have entered your library barcode, reset instructions will be sent to the email address we have on file.

Why are we making this change?

Security. Requiring a password, in addition to your barcode will make your account safer.

What if I don’t get the reset instructions?

  1. Make sure email from netnotice@clevnet.org is not being blocked.
  2. Has your email changed recently? If so you will have to contact your local library.
